Staff Selection Commission ( SSC ) has uploaded the SSC stenographer notification today i.e. on 10/10/2020 on its official website. Eligible and interested candidate can apply for SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2020-21 on or before 04 November 2020 till 11:30 pm on SSC official website. i.e ssc.nic.in. However, the last for online payment is 06 November 2020. SSC has also published the short notification in employment news paper dated 10 october to 16 october 2020.
F.No.03/08/2020- P&P :- The staff selection commission will hold an open competitive computer based examination for the post of stenographer 'C' and stenographer 'D' for various department/organisations in the government of India. Only those candidate who have skill in stenography will eligible to apply.
SSC will hold online steno exam,2021 for the recruitment of stenographer 'C' and stenographer 'D' in various departments/organisations in the government of India, from 29 March 2021 to 31 March 2021 shall appear for the skill test followed by documents verification.

Stenography Test & Shorthand proficiency :-
For Stenographer Grade 'C' :-
- For all applicants- Candidates having 40 Minutes Stenography in English & 55 Minutes Stenography Speed in hindi will be eligible for this Stenography test & recruitment too.
- For Applicants allowed to use Scribe in the CBE - Candidates having 55 Minutes Stenography in English & 75 Minutes Stenography Speed in Hindi will be eligible for this Stenography Test & recruitment too.
For Stenographer Grade 'D' :-
- For all applicants- Candidates having 50 Minutes Stenography in English & 65 Minutes Stenography Speed in hindi will be eligible for this Stenography test & recruitment too.
- For Applicants allowed to use Scribe in the CBE - Candidates having 70 Minutes Stenography in English & 90 Minutes Stenography Speed in Hindi will be eligible for this Stenography Test & recruitment too.
Age Limit :-
- Stenographer Grade 'C' 18 to 30 years as on 01/08//2020 i.e candidates born not before 02/08/1990 and not later than 01/08/2002 are eligible to apply.
- Stenographer Grade 'D' 18 to 27 years as on 01/08//2020 i.e candidates born not before 02/08/1993 and not later than 01/08/2002 are eligible to apply.

- OBC- 03 Years

Selection Process :-
Candidates will be called for SSC Steno Computer Based Test. On the basis of their performance in Online Test, the merit list will be prepared for the skill test. All those candidate who qualify in the skill test will be recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of total marks in the computer based examination.

Important Notice :-
Candidates of stenographer Grade 'C'and 'D' examination,2020 may note that the scanned colour passport size photograph uploaded in JPEG formt (20 KB to 50 KB) in the online examination should not be more than three months old from the date of the publication of the notice of examination, and that the date on which the photograph has been taken should be clearly printed on the photograph.
